Injen intake

Jason what color did you get, can't wait to see it. Hey I will trade you your intake for a couple soup cans and some rubberbands, plus my filter from my A/C unit . Look forward to seeing you on March 23rd. Peace

LOL, aight its a deal, that soup can should give me 10 extra hp huh, I got a polished one, I think that is the only color we could get, It looks good though. My car has been choking alot lately and I never had that problem. I think it is becuase of the intake. Any suggestions?

Choking

What do you mean by choking? Is it sputtering or what cause it's supposed to sound deep when the air goes thru.

i got mine's today, too. i'll be putting it on soon. i don't know when, but soon. maybe today. maybe tonight. depends on how i feel. i am under the weather right now, so yeah... no intake install for now. it's too windy and chilly out (if 60 degrees F is chilly). and i have a test tomorrow, so who knows.

and the sputter thing... make sure your ecu is plugged in the right way and make sure everything is bolted down tight. otherwise, i have no clue.

Woohoo, the intakes came today. the shitty thing is that i had to pay $175 Cdn in brokerage fees at the time of delivery. damn Canada customs . oh well, the intakes still works out to be about $100 cheaper than getting them locally. now all i have to do is wait for it to warm up to install them.

Jon, thanks again for arranging this group buy

Yeah, its like sputtering, and I didnt install it, I'm not that mechanically inclined. I payed the dealership 30 bucks to install it. Its not bad, but i heard other people say the same thing after installing the intake, so I dunno. It only happened twice now. The other day i started my car up and it started to sputter like it was going to install, but i just gave it some gas and it was fine. Then the same thing happened while I was stopped at a light on a different day. Its no bid deal unless it starts happening all the time.

sputtering?!?!

Hey y0sky,

It sounds like the stealership screwed up (maybe on purpose). Just pop your hood and make sure everything connected to the intake is secure, especially the little connector that plugs into the back of the black box. You could also do a search for Injen and compare the pics here to your ride. Either way you should fix this before your valves get all carboned up.

yeah, now that you mention it i think i know what you mean, mine kinda did that too the other day, but i was just sitting in the car talking on the phone, so i didnt care if it was gonna stall, but it didnt. the rpms dropped to under 1, but then it went back up. im gonna double check mine, but we should be fine.

i just got done installing the intake. definitely can feel the difference. no sputtering here that i have seen yet, just vrooooom. throttle response is better, it likes to rev to around 3K all the time now. and the sound is pretty cool. it's pretty quiet, i think. thanks for all the help guys!
