Hey pplz... I have a 99 protege but have sum serious rough idle and some acceleration slippage....MEANING when I step on the gas pedal she takes a few seconds then hits it... like the acceleration is not at once also happens mostly when I'm slowing down then I suddenly accelerate then she jerks then goes... So I've learned from members on this site that the only way to help the car idle & run smoother is by purchasing a MAF sensor so if anyone has one PLEASE let me know A.S.A.P. or when you get the chance to... THANKS .... appreciate the help....

1. Is it really the MAF sensor? Be sure.
2. If it was me - i would first try cleaning the thin wire in the sensor and then swap with another/similar car's MAF to see if this fixes the problem...
