No, a 1.6L turbo will not bolt up to a 2.0L

Why would it have a large amount of lag? Because of the size of the turbo, right? Takes a long time to spool which gives you not a whole lot of low end power. But once you reach top end, car takes off, right?

correct...1.6L doesnt put out a lot of exhaust volume, so it takes more rpms to spool it...but once it does, LOOK OUT

Is there anything that can be done to the low end of the powerband to get the car to spool up faster and reach the higher RPMs?

Bigger displacement what? What kind of N2o shot would be good? Maybe a 50 shot or so? Im not too familiar with nitrous so forgive me if I sound like a newb about this. I suppose next to the T3/4 (which is obviously good for top end power), a T25 would be the next logical choice for quick spooling and good power gains??

Shanemazda over on msprotege.com suggested that lower compression pistons would be a good idea too. Any truth to that?

Sorry for the threadjack!

You have a PM, Mike.

bigger displacement engine....

honestly, the T-3 will be just fine, the way the ZM revs, it should still spool by 3800 or so....a T25 is a good match for the 1.6L though, but I hear it starts falling on its face when the 1.6L hits like 5000 rpms...so pick your poison...

for the price here, I would jump all over this kit before paying juan $3K before even having the turbo itself....

still for sale? Pmed you.

How about the ecu and e-managing? Or is that not compulsatory?

Can this be directly bolted on or what do I need to buy extra?

Compared to the hiboost kit?:

• IHI Dual Ceramic Ball Bearing Turbo
• Cast Iron Manifold Cast iron downpipe
• Bar and Plate Front Mounted Intercooler
• Haltech F10X stand alone fuel management system
• 4 bosch injectors ?
• 3-ply Silicone Hoses ?

• Braided Oil Lines
• Stainless Steel Clamps?
• Air Intake System with 3 inch air filter?
• all necessary hardware ?
