Are you geographically literate?

This is sad as hell.
Not only does the US rank damn near last (or dead last) in every question, but we are last in one of the most relevant questions in the survey, and second to last in the other:
Where does Al Qaida and the Taliban Originate?
http://cranede.nationalgeographic.co...wer_3_3_1.html
results: 58% of Americans know.
And where is Afghanistan on this world map?
http://cranede.nationalgeographic.co...r_18_18_1.html
results: 17% of Americans know.
Seriously sad. And for the record (is there a record? ) I got 18 of 20 right.

Whoops! I mixed up Argentina with Brazil.
And also I put Islamic, I wasn't really sure, I thought it was that or Christianity.
I wasn't sure which of those three islands were Sweden, but they only had the number for one of them on the answer list.

Up here we tend to maintain a superiority complex of our knowledge of 'wordly things' vs. our US neighbors, but sadly, this survey shows that our arrogance is unfounded

Screw that. Canada did pretty crappy as well, but at least we knew where USA was. I got 20/20, though the relgion one was a guess, so I actually got 19.5. The part that hurt was the basic geography questions. i mean, they didn't even put the multi choice answers close to each other, they were all over the map.

Christianaity is still the most practiced religion in the world. Don't forget 80% of north America and 96% of South America is Chistian. then you have Europe I think thier around 90% Afica is around 65% and Asia is 15% or so. Even were Islam is strongest there are other religion. Egypt 94% Muslim 6% Christian. Jordan 92% Muslim, 6% Christian, 2% other. Lebanon 70% Muslim, 30% Christian.
Syria 90% Muslim, 10% Christian.
