At least you can blame Sony if it messes yours up more. And they do have big wallets.
If you read back a couple of posts you'll see that they don't care about the little guy, but thanks. I'll give it a try.

I've had it laying flat inside my entertainment centre since the day I bought it. I did pull it out once and found that there was an inch of dust that had collected on the back where the fan is...not good. I just bought Matt Hoffman 2 the other day. I got home, put it in and crossed my fingers....it worked. Tried to play it two days later and it didn't work (disk read error), so I spent the next half-hour trying to get it to go with no luck. Woke up the next day, turned it on...it worked first try. NHL 2003 is coming out soon and I need to fix this problem or get a new system before that...not going to blow 80 bucks on another hockey game, only to have it ruined two months later.
I had the same problem, and I tried the cleaner and all....but all that I could do is send it in to Sony to fix....FOR $120. So I was like screw that, and I traded in all of my games and the PS2 system and got an xbox...I've been happy ever since.
