I bought my first house at 22. Renting houses in Tulsa is OK, but I can make more money buy neglected houses, fixing them up and reselling them.

In Tulsa a 3 bedroom 2 bath house goes for 75-150 depending on area and condition. They only rent for 600-800 a month.

After Property taxes, insurance, and maintinence I would be lucky to clear 6K a year then after rent income even less.

Single Family homes do not generate alot of income in a state where the cost of living is so low. Tulsa has a very low cost of living.

We are in the process of Buying a house right now that has a tax lien on it to fix up and sell. Just takes some work and time. We are going to wait until after the Wedding and the Honeymoon to start that big of a project. I work 45 hours a week as an accountant alone which doesn't leave alot of time to maintain 2 houses. Plus night school for my MBA.

For being 25 and having: 3 Cars, 1 house, and No debt I think I am doing just fine on my financial planning. I could spend less on the wedding and honeymoon, but it only happens once in your life and I want it to be good. Yes it is alot of money, but it would be different if I was driving a 89 corrola and lived in an apartment.

My salary is public information - sort of.

If people care, I am a GS11 for the Dept of the Army.

My wife's salary? You can ask her.

I made 36G's before taxes. Not too bad for being 23 and no degree. I just have a technical diploma. Currently doing tech support for a call centre.

well I will just say I am in the upper catagories.....and if we count my wifes income too...well then I voted in the wrong catagory...that would put me in the top one.. :{D one of you said
"why would anyone that made over 50K drive a Protege"....well its simple....cause they are great cars...and a true blast to drive...and its why I baught TWO..one for me to play with...and one for my wife.

My P5 is my toy....I have a truck that is my daily driver....and then there is my Harley for pretty days as well.

well you have a point. As long as you got more then one car. Having two pros and harleys and all can make up for it. I meant if you had JUST the protege and making a **** load of money.

well I'm not the top choice but close.

and the p5 is my commuter and I gots the jeep for offroading.

Modding 2 cars, owning a house in socal and having lots of
gadgets and poor financial planning in my youth = no extra
money until I work off my debt. I think I owe more money
to my CCs than the average salary listed.

I have just the Pro and I make a **** load of money (not counting the F150 that I never drive and doesn't cost me a dime anymore). My wife and I have 1 car for daily driving (that will change as soon as she makes up her damn mind). We are just saving so we can buy a really nice house, two really nice cars, keep paying for my expensive technology habits, and have a butt-load of money saved up for retirement and starting our own business (it is really damn expensive to start a business, I want a couple hundred G's in the bank before we try it).

32k as a 20 year old, not too bad if you ask me for my age. I already paid off my pro, on my own, no mommy and daddy helping. And to tell you the truth, working all the time I worked in HS and through college so far has never been more redeeming then writing that last check that paid off the car.

Cubicle Farms suck! Company policy here is no matter what your possition, unless you are a Controller or Director everyone gets a cube of the same size. 5x7 cube......Sounds just like a Cell to me!
