Pontiac is doing a 180 in the next 2 or 3 years, bob Lutz is taking over...

Pontiac Solstice $20,000-$25,000

Well, we'll see what those cars look like when they hit the street.

Problem is, as I see it, they think that they get brand recognition with the front end, the grille especially. Like BMW with the "dual kidney bean" grille they've used for years. Problem is, Pontiac IS recognizeable - but in a bad way. The carryover of design cues from one model to another defines the brand, but unfortunately, the design cues are UGLY (just my opinion).

Even that Soltice has the Pontiac cues in the front - and those cues just turn me off immediately - guess i'm just not a huge Pontiac guy (modern Pontiac, anyway - gimme a 60's or 70's Goat or TA any day!)

Quick tip for ya' Foxy - you can get a quick-shutoff valve thing for the end of the hose. Plenty of people use them between the hose and the connection at the house, but you can just as easily spin it on the end of the hose - no more walking back to the house to shut the water.

Like this (they have 'em in plastic, too):

I just bend the hose and stick it under one of the tires, simple yet efficient and the best part, it's free.

Yeah, Bob and his boys are great at stealing ,ummm, I mean, ahhh, resurrecting old designs. Robert Cumberford did a styling analysis of the Solstice in Automobile Magazine a couple months back and all I said was "Total rip-off of the famous '60's racer called the Cheetah".

If those two don't look alike I don't know what does!
