ok not really a 'chase' scene per se, but I love that Tuscan!

Craig, I HATED that Thunderdome movie... too much pig crap for one person to handle!! LoL My husband has it on DVD
I actually think that movie Black Dog had a few good chase scenes, of course they involved 18 wheelers ( ), so I don't know if it counts, but I liked it!
And the best chase/race scene in a movie....
(drum roll please...)
Greg Focker vs. Robert DeNiro, the race to get home first, in Meet the Parents

Bullit did have an awesome chase scene. Steve McQueen did all the driving himself too.
Also he was in Le Mans, which is probably my favorite car movie. It is just one big long race rather than chase though.
Ronin was cool but what is going on with the S8? The Citroen vs. 5-series was the big chase. you barely even get to see the S8 in a chase. He just drives it off road a little and bangs it up.
As for Driven.....
It my most hated car movie to date I think. The two F1 cars in chicago was ridiculous.
1. you cannot start a true F1 car with a key or button or whatever Stalone pushed to turn it on. The pit crue has an external starter that is seperate from the car.
2. Prototype F1 cars are normally pushed or pulled into those shows. They are not fully fueled and ready for some dumbass kid to storm around in after his girlfriend pisses him off.
3. Stallone and that kid looked really dumb in those cars without their helmets.

I would have to agree with most people here and vote for Ronin.
However, have any of you seen Luc Besson's Taxi? (He's the director of La Femme Nikita, The Fifth Element, The Professional, Le Grand Bleu ...)
The opening scene is a pizza delivery guy on a mo-ped in Marseilles. It's absolutely crazy!
There's also a great scene of a cabbie (highly modded car) driving crazy to get someone to the airport on time.
Anyway, if you haven't seen it - it's worth renting. May only be in French though.
Cheers,
Eric

I just remembered another great chase scene from a while a go.
"Italian Job." With the three Minis who rob a bank in Italy and flee back to England. It was a great chase!

I just bought Eleanor's poster for $8. Man she is so fine, and I watched the movie again too! I love that car!
I think the Groundhog Day had a good chase too, I know it was not long, but it was humorous!
