Gone In 60 Seconds. I just bought the DVD, and watched the making of the big chase in the end of the movie with Eleanor, AKA Shelby Mustang GT500. I know that Nicolas Cage is a bit slow, and not the greatest actor ever, but he is a great car enthusiast and did most of the stunts in the movie on his own. Ronin had a great chase scene too, but I would choose Gone In 60 Seconds!

I agree with Ronin - that's awesome! Also, Gone in 60 Seconds is OK (the new one with Nicholas Cage), but you should also see the original - the 'actor' did all the stunt driving, directing, etc. and there are NO computer fake cars flying miles through the air either - the car at the end of the chase is what's left from the car at the beginning!

Also - Bullitt has an awesome car chase scene with awesome cars, similar to Gone in 60 seconds, but predating it several years.

Dale.

I am with Dale...BULLITT.....steve mcqueen had for MANY years the record.....if my memory serves me right....the chase sceen in bullitt is like 20 minutes long....and MAY still hold the record for that.

What was that movie called: "The Marathon" or "The Marathon Runner" or something like that.

That was a real psychological thriller too...

What....

You didn't say *car* chase...

what about the scene in Swordfish, where Travolta tried to get away from the SWAT team in a TVR Tuscan, but instead pulled out a machine gun and mowed them down instead?

ok not really a 'chase' scene per se, but I love that Tuscan!
