alight i was checking this website out and i saw that they might come out with a turbo for the 2003 or 2004 market. can any verify this. because i am close to buying a protege5. and i dont want to buy it if they will drop a turbo in it. please any info will help...thanks

i talked to the rep @ the vancouver autoshow today and he said there will DEFINITELY be a limited number of mazdaspeed turbo P5's available, but there are currently NO PLANS WHATSOEVER to sell the turbo as a separate mod for current P5's...

ah well, i prolly couldn't afford one even if they did come out w/it!

 

Actually don't listen too much to that Mazda Rep there. He told me that they were aiming for 180 hp or more on the MazdaSpeed Protege, when in fact it's going to be 170hp. And no, it won't be a Protege5, but a Protege sedan

what a moron!!! but even if they do come out w/a turbo kit for protege's, we'd hafta upgrade a whole bunch of stuff cuz the rest of our drivetrain's not designed for it right?

 

I'll pretend that I didn't see the question until someone with more expertise answers this one hehe
