Someone buy my audi so I can buy....
A porsche. For the love of God will someone just buy this Audi for $2k so my wife will let me buy a new car??
I've found the perfect car for me and I'm unable to spend my money on it because "You already have 2 other cars".
If anyone is interested in it just let me know...or if anyone wants to loan me $8k until my audi sells I'd appreciate.
Please don't let a beauiful Porsche go to some balding yuppie because I have a d.d. audi.
Help a brotha out.

sshhh, but I pretty much told the guy I was buying it next week. The wife and I discussed it at dinner tonight and she said she'd go for it as long as the audi sold first and I got $2k for it. I'm going to take it to all of the Carmax and DriversWay here tomorrow to see if someone will wholesale it for me for $2k. I've also got a shop I deal with that will go to auction for me...I'm going to ask the guy if he'll auction the car for me and just give me $2k for it upfront...whatever he doesn't get for it I'll pay him back out of my hidden cash-stash.
It's an incredible find and I'm going to kick myself for a long time if I let it get away.

normally I'm anti-vert for the weight but I know this won't be a track car or anything and I think I'll need the headroom.
besides when you see the vert and coupe side by side the vert looks AMAZING..the coupe just looks great.

I drove a 2.7TT quattro before buying my MS6...the MS6 is a fair bit stronger.
an 1.8 A4 is going to be a dog compared to even the 2.7TT.
If you seriously want one, the VW/audi wholesaler I deal with has about 20 of them on his lot.

I'm still thinking about it .. as it all really comes down to whether or not I am able to get a decent price for the P5. And as for the Audi, I think I would go for a 3.0 V6 Quattro instead of the 1.8T.

Don't know if this would work with your wife Matty with all the cars you go through, but take her for a ride in it with the top down. Maybe let on like you aren't that sure if you want to do it, but that you do enjoy the car. See if she tries to talk you into it. That might turn the tide in your favor.
Yes, I can be a sneaky little so and so. Fortunately I haven't had to resort to this sort of behavior with my gf.

Well, the car is in Moscow, OH and the guy is saying he wants it sold by monday so he may lower the price to move it to someone locally faster. This is NOT fair to me being so far away.
I guess I should just bite the bullet and buy the car, fly up to pick it up and just drive it home sight unseen. He's asking way under book value but he's a porsche collector and knows what it's worth. I guess he's just selling it to make room for something else.
Unfortunately the only day I have off next week is the 4th and that day he is unavailable.... this blows.

Dayum. If I were only home I would offer my services to check it out for you (I'm selfless that way). At least that way you wouldn't be buying a pig in a poke.
If it doesn't work out, you can always take the view that it wasn't meant to be and something better will come along. That sometimes works for me, if not there is always beating your head against a brick wall!

I've been using the old "wasn't meant to be" excuse for about 4 years now. I've settled and settled and I'm tired of not buying the exact car I want.
The mazdas are nice and all and I've enjoyed them but they aren't my "dream cars". One of these days I have to quit being bullied by my wife (she beats me) and just go out and buy what will make me happy.
For God's sake she drives a yellow f'in beetle.
