I wish there was something I could do about the lack of muffler on a saturn that's always parked on the street within 20 feet of my house --I'm thinking I might buy them a muffler and a gift certificate to get it installed at Monro. I'm sick of it waking me up at 2am every morning (they must get back from work at 2).
Does anyone know if there's really something I can do about that? It's obviously way past being New York inspection legal for emissions and noise level (at least I assume they test those two) --but if it has a valid inspection sticker do you think the fuzz can do anything about it? Plus what can I do other than point to the car parked on the street and be like "yeah that's the one".. I think they'd kinda have to catch it in the act.

that will only make it worse. what if they aren't up for inspection for another 10 months? What I need to do is sneak under their car at 4am and install a racing beat catback, two low-flow cats, and 18 resonators
that way even if half the crap rusts out, it'll still be virtually silent.
