I agree. I was so pissed off about this article. Yes, the economy is weak, and the government is trying to improve it, but if they do this, there will be more big *** on the road blocking the view, less parking spaces, and higher gas prices. I just do not see this as being very positive, and if you are taking a risk of starting a company, you would be better using your SUV/Truck for business, and not to haul your *** around downtown and highways. Someone, should definately change the law about trucks and SUVs, just because they share the same platform, and are cheap for manufaturers to produce, that does not mean they are the same thing. They are ment for use off-road, not downtown and highway, to haul either people or loads. Plus, $75K is way too much. I think it should be no more then $40K. If I were to buy an SUV or a truck in the $75K range, I would not haul bricks and 2x4 in it. Anyhow, this topic is very broad, and I am sure there will tons of opinions about. But one days, SUVs will be a thing of the past. I hope that midsize, and compact classes pickup a faster pace, with a little taste of customization in forms of limited edition models.
