So last Friday morning we're getting ready for work (Steve and I), and he goes to take our dog out. And what to his wondering eyes should appear? The Nissan 240 his friend was loaning us was broken into. Whoever did it smashed in the driver's side window completely and tried to take the radio out.
Apparently they got interrupted or something b/c you could see where they tried to pry it out but it was still there, in one piece. The only thing they took was an amp out of the trunk. They COMPLETELY ignored a huge cd folder that was filled to the max and a $135 pair of Oakley's sitting on top of THAT. (I'm thankful--but let's face it... if I was a thief and went through the trouble of busting in a window I'd sure as hell make it worth my while)
The police came and dusted it for prints, took the videos from the surveillance cameras, the whole nine yards. It was so foggy though they couldn't get much from the video.
ANYWAY... the point to all my venting is that it PISSES ME OFF when someone is too lazy to get off their *** and work for what they want so they just steal it from other people. #$%!* @*$&

i really do hate it when people do stupid **** liek that...

I'm young, i don't have much money, but i work for the things i want.... why do people try to take the easy route and try to steal.... its just stupid.... yeah u may not have alot of money, and your poor, so go out and find a job, and save up the pennies and dimes, and through time, and hard work, u'll have enough to get what you want.... instead of ruining someone elses hard spent money (which now they have to pay more for to get their car repaired)

its just stupid sometimes, people gotta respect other peoples property
(hey, u know what i just noticed, the last 4 letters in the word property, are all in a row on the keyboard, hehe.....)

anyway angel, at least they didn't take that stuff u mentioned..... cost woulda been alot more if they did, and u woulda been alot more pissed, instead of relieved they didn't take it..... to make it worse tho, its not ure car

Here's an update... Jeremy (the guy who owns the car) replaced the amp for next to nothing since he works in a car audio store... he also managed to get his window fixed for free... lol... you know if that was MY car I'd be paying out the butt for it, just my luck and all. But at least I'm a little relieved to hear that he's not out any money for it.

Thanks. I'm sure a LOT of people on this forum alone have had so much stuff stolen. It always happens to the nice cars. *le sigh* Thank goodness the head unit was at Kenwood getting fixed in the mp3 though... otherwise she'd probably have gotten her window knocked in too =/ They were sitting side by side

word. some bastards busted my rear door window a few weeks ago and stole my jacket and a bunch of burned cd's. i mean, wtf. if they had a job they could have bought a jacket and a spindle of blank cdrs. haha. $310 to get that window fixed. great stuff.
