I wouldn't care if my boyfriend or any of my friends or family scratched my car.. dinged my car.. totalled my car.. it would be an accident.. and it's just a car.. sure it's a pain to take it in to get it fixed.. but it's a physical thing.. can be replaced.. and if anything.. I'd be happy to spend the time getting it repaired because I'd know it'd put the mind of someone I care about at ease...

I had a friend spill some ketchup in my car a couple days after I got it.. they started crying.. I couldn't believe it!! all I could come up with was "having to decide whether or not to lick it up should not upset you this much".. took me atleast 5 minutes to convince her I really didn't care.. if I wanted the car to remain perfect.. I would have permanently parked it in a bomb shelter instead of driving it around..

 

Just curious Steve, but is your Protege classic red by any chance? My classic red P5 seemed easily scratched is why I ask.

I wonder if the mica finishes (ie Laser Blue) are more durable than the "regular" finishes (classic red, vivid yellow). I would really like to get a Vivid Yellow but I woory about the paint being flimsy. I might consider laser blue if I knew it was more durable.

 

Do what I do and that is don't let your wife drive your car. I have seen the hubcaps on my wife's Corolla that have been curbed so many times, that she dare not ask me to drive my car lest she ruin the alloy wheels. The ONLY time she gets behind the wheel of my P5 is to drive me home when I have had one too many "Wobbly Pops". The thought was nice of your wife to wash your car; in my case, only I wash it and only with a lamb's wool mit. Usually if something like that happens to my car it is my own damn fault.

My car is white. And really din't get mad at her but the shop that did this to my ride. My wife is great and she is always doing stuff like that to surprise me.
But Its the first ding and it just pissid me off I havent even made a dam payment on it yet. JAJAJA

hehe, thats what i want to get pierced. wanted my tongue pierced for a while but never got around to it. actually its gonna either be my tongue or my ears, the way foxymazda has them pierced
