Has anyone got any experiance with these cars? The 88,89 model gt turbo's. I can get one pretty cheap, just wanting to know if they were decent cars. any tips on what to look for? thanks!

Over all the car is pretty good, one thing to look for a leaking turbo cooler lines it can be a problem. The car was pretty quick for it's day but now . I think you would like the car but it does have wicked torque steer it takes some getting used to.

Agreed. One of my ex's had an '88 GT, and it was pretty quick, but the tourqe steer was really shitty. She had about 160k on it and had a few problems, it was pretty plush though... Electronically controlled suspension (that most likely didn't work) and such.

i had an '88 626 turbo, which was essentially the same car. it's an ok car stock, but it gets really fun when you take the boost from 9psi to 16psi. the engine and tranny are very solid. i'd get another one if i could
