Damn, seems that nobody writes their own songs no more. There's so much stealing in hip-hop...... seems that every beat gets recycled these days. The worst by far is P. Diddy (what a ghey name) sorry to any fans.....

Any new albums that anyone's looking forward to? I got absolutely nothing except for Wyclef Jean that's got an album out soon

 

Despite their age, these two fellas continue to push out original material on CDs. What's more, they seem to be making an effort to push the envelope as far as clarity/recording ability are concerned. I just picked up the latest Van Morrison CD, and there are some tracks on there that'll really puncture the soul.

That is, or course, subject to liking that kind of music.

 

I usually can't stand their music, as I am slowly moving away from hip-hop and rap...but I gotta give 100% propr to Cash Money. The Big Tymers and The Hot Boyz have NEVER sampled anything. The will never sample.

They even showed how 90% of their songs are synthesized on a keyboard in their home-studio.

No it's not a glamorous as having your song created in a big beautiful expensive studio, but now you understand why these guys are so rich. They pay no royalties to others for sampling, they don't waste hundreds of thousands of dollars in studio time.

No matter what type of music you are into, you need to realize that they are damn smart, and reaping the benefits by becoming rich beyond belief.
