I never really listened to hip-hop much, but somebody I know got a radio show, and the format is international hip-hop. So I listened in and found it to be OK.

Finally.........
how long have you guys been listening to hip-hop?
Seems that everybody's catching on in the last couple of years and think that Ja Rule and P Diddy invented it......
Been to any shows? As I said in my other thread, I'm hopefully going to see Common , Talib Kweli and Gangstarr on March 12th in Seattle... should be great

I hate all the pop-hip hop/rap right now... give me some good album names to get into some good stuff. I'm so sick of rap/hip hop/whatever, I can't stand to listen to it anymore. I need some good stuff!

N.E.R.D. (The Neptunes)
Don't know if y'all consider it true hip hop or not, but in my opinion one of the greatest acts of the scene right now, and one of the few I can actually listen to. Not a huge hip hop fan but N.E.R.D. never leaves my cd changer.
