Yeah man. I hardly doubt you could stay close with a RSX unless: a. the driver doesn't know you're racing.
b. the driver can't drive for ****.

hell, i doubt a p5 could woop a civic ex with out mods, ive seen it and done it, the 2000 civic ex had a CAI and wooped my p5s *** bad. dont underestimate hondas!, as much as i hate to say it, but alot of them are mucho faster than us.... the RSX would hand any of us our asses anyday.

listen to jesse and wil, they know their stuff.

oh, and if i were you, id probably just go Si, you seem to really like your hondas (no prob there), plus those things are fast stock... do some mods and shiiiiiiiiiiit.

not to knock the p5, but its kind of disappointment powerwise (hence why i have a SR20DE Powered car along with my p5). though you want something to handle well, go p5!

just another thought, take a look at the Nissan SE-R SpecV.... they're pretty sweet.

the dealers near me have very few of the good sentras (ser and ser spec v) so i haven't been able to take one out...they are also not very negotiable on price so i've stopped looking at the sentra b/c of it

the mp5 is impressive but doesn't feel as fast...the si has i-vtec (vtc and vtec) which makes it move and b/c the rsx uses a similar engine i'm sure the aftermarket will embrace the si (or i can always do an rsx type s head swap)

the only things that still keeps me looking at the mp5s is the financing and looks

i mod on some honda boards and i do my fair share of getting rid of the guys who think hondas rule...but as usual when i post on another mgfr board i always run into the honda sucks ignornant group

first off i never said a honduh sucked. secondly maybe the driver was bad, but the fact is a race is a race and i don't look for excuses, i just know what happens. osunds to me as if you people doubt your own cars capabilities to much. i've raced all sorts of cars in my P5 and some i've lost to, some i've hung dead even with, and some i have embarrased like a celica GT i walked last night. i never said i beat the RSX and if you refer to the first post we stayed even till half-way through 3rd. by the top of third he pulled a car and i imagine he would have kept pulling.hell the only mods i have is a CAI, Team Moon exhaust, and some prototype cams from sunbelt and i removed the honeycomb from the MAF. i'm sure those guys know their **** as do so many other people.

But did the guy in RSX know you were racing? The problem I had with the Si was every tom, dick & harry with a Nopi sticker wanted to race. I would pull up to a stoplight and not even know they wanted to race. That individual could have gone home, jumped on the sunfire(example) forum and bragged how he beat a Si. See where I'm going here? Who knows, maybe your P5 is just as fast as a RSX, I dunno. I sure know my moms isn't, neither is my ES.

yea he was racing. it was a 3 lane road and he was racing a gs400 and i joined in on it. the gs400 beat us both so badly that it looked like neither of us were racing. i know i can't prove what happened, and i know how hard it is for people not to trust anyone when they have never seen my car run. i understnad all that i just gave my 2 cents on the SI. i just know our cars have alot of potential and learning how to use it will win races. now an RSX type S is a different story. i wouldn' stand a chance.

my co-worker has a regular RSX and i play around with him after work going home ...he is right you can keep up to a RSX till about 3rd gear (mind you i'm red lining 1st and second)...don't forget his VTEC doesn't kick in till 5000rpm and we got good lower end torque...also his stock tires sucked too, but man the roar of the RSX engine is nice!!!

I still cant believe you lost to one of those things, i beat one when my car was bone stock, he had a 5 speed also in his EX, i/h/e.

anyway, the p5 is nice and i like the style but im positive aftermarket support will jump in if it hasnt already for the new Si and make the P5 aftermarket look like universal CAI and Exhuasts in a nopi catalog.

The Si does have a nice interior though, I like the way the shift has been placed also, and it has the same motor as the RSX-S just detuned, man, cant wait for a frankenstien motor to come along, has anyone seen the K24 (Honda CR-V) swap ive heard so much about?

Id figure the output on that would be similar or more to a B20/TypeR Cut-n-Swap

yes, i use to own a honda.
