Well, instead of buying a new car, I'm probably going to be getting a used commuter car. My friend has a '90 Protege LX for sale. I've seen it a few times, and it seems to be in great shape. It has 150k on it, but they say it runs really good. It has power windows/locks, sunroof, ac, cruise, all the goodies, and they only want $800 for it. They said it may need new brakes eventually, but that's not that much at all. I'm probably going to be looking at it later this week, and if it drives well, I'll be buying it ASAP.

It's sad that this car is so much nicer than the one i have now, and I'm going to be paying much much less than I have for my car. Ohhhhhhhhh well!

I looked at the car yesterday, and it's in great shape for such high miles, it also runs great! I was pretty impressed with the BP 1.8, it was nice and smooth, and had some decent power to it. But holy god, since I have the MX-3 seats in my 323 which sit really low, sitting in a normal drivers seat feels like I'm driving from the freaking roof! I snapped a few pics when I was looking at it, they're at:

I'll be picking it up probably on Saturday sometime, I can't wait! The only thing I don't like about it is that it has a blue interior, but I guess I don't really care for a commuter car

how do you afford the insurance on all those cars?! i wanna get another 1st gen (an lx this time), but i don't feel like paying for insurance on 2 cars.

first off wil...we don't look at Festiva's as mazda's.....and secondly...it doesn't count if they are sitting on blocks in the front yard! lol
