whats good peoples...i done traded my 3 n for the 6....i now have an 07 mazda6i sport value edtion with the 2.3l engine...i guess its a varition of the engine i had n my 3s. this engine has dual balance shafts for v-6 like smoothness. I now have Duals...Im not sure if they r true duals or not....if not then it separates n2 2 at the rear with 2 mufflers. Anyone know the benefits if i were to take the exaust resonators takn off both? Louder exhaust sound. I love the way it sounds now...i juss want it louder...i took the resonator off the 3 n it became moderately louder...Are there any performance gains by doing this? isnt it freeing up some constriction of air? Please direct me 2 any good modds and upgrades for the 6i sport value edtion...i wanna do engine mods, Optimizing, n making more efficient...also interested n turbo for it and LED taillights or angel eyes for the 6i....i need feedbck

 

It isn't true duals.. it's a single exhaust with two mufflers.

I haven't actually seen any LED taillights for the Mazda6, especially not like the nice ones available for the Mazda3.

 

before buying your 6, did you consider the getting the mazdaspeed6? could have had a turbo with warranty. just wondering.

 

the 2.3L MZR has had the dual balance shafts all along. so your 3 had them. it was the 2.0L that just had the dual balance shafts added for 07.

 

whats good people? ive been away from this forum for the longest. Ive been on the Mazda6club site since i got my six. Im on a forced vacation from there for a week..lol my new 07 6i has been running good for me. Ive done the airbox mod and advanced timing mod on it. Its decent gains for being free..lol

 

why in gods name would you trade a 2.3L 3 for a 2.3L 6 ???

was there a problem with the car or something ???

the 3 holds it's resale WAY better than the 6

in a year your 6 will be worth LESS than the one year older 3....

 

well actually, i was just feeling that i needed a bigger car n size. My main thing was getting a more powerful engine also. the dealer b.s. me on V6 so the best deal i could get was getting a newer different model car. so i ended up wit my 6. lol i learned my lesson on negative equity that carried over. so im keeping my 6 at least 2 or more yrs. to knock of dat negative equity and more. so when i go in the future to trade, it wont hurt my pocket as much. I do miss my 3 though. i didnt even to mod it like i wanted..lol
