Ok, mr. Travis...first things first: you cannot rent a 5-speed Mustang...insurance purposes...so that was B.S....the V6 mustang is a 3.8, not 3.9. The 5 speed runs mid-15s, which is faster than your cars stock vs stock. Your car, i guarantee, cannot run 9.5 seconds in the 1/4 even WITH nitrous...maybe the 1/8 mile IF you spray the hell outta ur car.

and lastly, back it up. Someone in Florida come race me...i'll run you in my 98, not 99, V6 WITHOUT juice...we'll see how "pathetic" my v6 is.

Mods...Is this going to be another "we hate Travis" thread? Please close this before it gets out of hand again. This is supposed to be friendly board and it has turned ugly by a few strays from other boards.

BTW, Who gives a **** if his his car goes 9's or 16's. Is it really going to effect you? No, so just up. Everywhere you go there will be people who will tell strories to be more accepted. I don't know if that is Travis' story, but I don't care.

Travis, If you have that 9 sec civic, good job. If you have any data to back up your claim, contact me, I would gladly scan and post it on the net for others to see. If you don't, well then, come clean.

Either way, it won't bother me. I just want these flames to stop cluttering an otherwise great forum.

am i flaming? i guess so...only because that guy can't even lie properly...do you know what it would take to get a civic hatch into the 9's on motor? well my car club is based mostly on imports, and we do have an 11 second civic and it is one of the fastest civics around here. It's considered a big deal when these civics beat vipers, vettes, Cobra Rs, and all them other top end cars...and those cars run 12's (low 11's if modded a little). Civics don't beat them by that much....thats besides the point

I'm not saying protege's cant make power, however, come check out our forums...we got stangs (v6) that run 12s, 13s, and a few that can run a high 14 STOCK...our fastest went 11's.

I will be chillen up at UCF alot so I will attend an autocross event (don't know why...my 4x2 mustang won't hang too well) but i'll come...and we'll run...what i'd really like is for travis to come so he can put his money where his keyboard is...
