Here's a f-in scary story.
In the surf mags I read there's a column called "ask the surf docs" or some crap. One month the docs asked people to send in their gnarliest surf injury stories. They were flooded with responses, but this guy won the contest hands down. I don't remember it word-for-word the it went something like this:
The guy took off on a really steep wave and pearled (that's when you bury the nose, or front end, of your surfboard, and it bucks you off in front if it. Dangerous, because your board may shoot back up and nail you fins-first). When he jumped off his board, it shot back up and got him right between the legs. It hurt pretty bad, but his wetsuit didn't have any holes in it from the board and the waves were good, so he kept surfing.
About 15 minutes later, he saw a little bit of blood coming out of the leg in his suit. He paddled in and began to take his wetsuit off to see how bad he was hurt. His nuts were hurting BAD by now. As he peeled my wetsuit down to his waist, one of his NUTS UNRAVELLED LIKE A SPRING-LOADED BALL OF YARN and landed on the beach.
He scooped his ***** back up(covered in beach sand ) and went to the emergency room, where they proptly cut off everything that unravelled. He now has one nut.
