Why do people direct hate at the troops? Do they honestly think the soldiers want to be there? there are probably troops that don't agree on the war, but they volunteered to serve their country and that is what they are doing. Their job.
I am no fan of this war, but I will NEVER bad mouth soldiers or generals or anyone in between. They are simply doing their job, a thankless one at that. I hate overly left wing people who think each soldier volunteered to go kill people and get shot at and that is what satifies them.
Good luck everyone overseas.

I couldn't have more respect for the military forces, both ours and allied.

* yes, I know, there are exceptions to this, and SOME Iraqis are guilty of war crimes. But I still contend that this war has many more victims than victors.

I am an Anti war person
But before any body begins yelling and cursing at me, hold on...
I support the troops, and I support the great and unforgattable service that they were, are, will and always provide for us. I support them for their courage, and putting their lives in line for us. I don't support the leaders, but that is something else
And, I feel ashamed, that fellow Americans, that even though they don't support the war, thes should NOT disrespect the troops that they provide the blanket cover for us. I am ashamed of those people and somebody should seriously kick their a$$
But, that dosen't mean that I support the war, I applaude the troops dedication. I hope I didn't offend anyone, I am kinda balancing on a thin line here.

Yeah, I also agree with what you're all saying...
Just today in our town we had a rally for the troops, not really the war. Most people were supportive as they drove by, honking their horns, waving their hands, giving us peace symbols (or the bird) but those people are too scared to say what they want in the midst of a big group like that. I'm sure when they (troops) come home it won't be like Vietnam where they were spit upon, yelled at, and disgraced by family members. I thank God for their protection against harm... It is a thankless job but deep down inside we are all grateful they put their faces in the mud so that we can live another day in peace...

Those idiots need to be shot for Treason. Sorry to be so blunt but its the truth! You can protest all you want but don't waist my time doing it.
For those antiwar protestors... you might want to read the Sedition Act http://www.homestead.com/prosites-prs/seditionact.html
