how do you clean the engine bay?

I use Castrol Super Clean. Got to be careful. It is pretty strong, so I dilute it 3 parts Super Clean 1 part water. I use it full strenght in places were there is a lot of grease bulid up. Make sure you don't get it on the exterior paint.

Put a towel on the plug boots before you start...water in those plug holes will ruin your day...
You can use Simple Green, too...just make sure you rinse it well. It eats aluminum.

My bad experience with engine cleaning
I tried doing that this summer, since I'd done it with no problems on other cars when I was working as a lot attendendant. But even after working hard to make sure everything was covered I still got water down in the plug holes. It ran like *** and I thought I killed the motor, but I figured out what was wrong and ended up sucking the water out with a straw attached to an old tukey baster I found in the garage. After that I decided not to attempt that on an older engine again.
