drunk driver

I can't believe it!!! My Pro's just sittin' out front like every other night, I'm in happy dream land, and all of a sudden my car alarm's got me jumpin' outta bed. I race down stairs figurin' I'm gonna catch some little **** screwin' with my ride, but noooo...someone has just plowed into my car and then f#*kin' drove off. Luckily my neighbor comes out ('cause she heard the crash) and says she saw what happened. When she told me that the car took off towards the lake, the wife and me were both like: "what?!?" 'cause that's a dead end. So we step up the hill and the neighbor points out the car that smacked my Pro. The car is a loaner that one of the guys living on the street has been using for about a week. So, we call the cops, they show, go up to the guys house and he completely fessed up. The cop comes back and when we ask if the guy was drinking he says yes. Only bitch though is that in RI you have to get caught behind the wheel, engine running and in "control" of the vehicle to get bagged for DUI. The cop does say that he's gonna hit this guy with everything he can though - fleeing the scene of an accident, no proof of insurance in his vehicle, wrong address on his license, and some other stuff I think. When he hit my Pro it was driver's headlight to driver's headlight. He hit it enough to stop his forward motion, making him back up so he could screw and that's when the neighbor saw him. My only consolation is that he hit my ride with that little Corolla lookin' loaner and not that land yacht, Lincoln or whatever - my car would probably me in little pieces. As long as this guy’s insurance is up to date (I think it is) this shouldn’t cost me a dime, but DAMN…MY CAR!!! I don't know if the photos will post but I'll try.

You didn't close your image tags. I got it...

Oh, and it sucks that your car got banged up. But I'm happy to hear the cops got the guy, even if they couldn't slap a DUI on him.

Why yes foxymazda, that is an air intake (Megan Racing K&N clone - uses factory mass air flow box). I could feel the difference immediately. I was getting ready to post some pics and then...bang. I probably won't put anything up till spring unless someone asks.

Injen is definitely the good stuff but I was lookin' at 250 vs. a
C-note.....hhmmmm.....short ram it is. If you do go with the Injen CAI you shouldn't need to worry about water due to the length of the drop into the wheel well. If I guess right you've got a 1.8 under the hood, so take a look at the CAI these guys are showing

When you do get one you'll wonder why you waited.
Happy zoomin'
