Drifting in the '70s

Just thought I'd share this little tidbit:

I was bored & watched an old "Streets of San Francisco" last night. They of course had the requisite car chase, but with a twist: Michael Douglas was chasing the bad guy, who was drving a 240Z. The chase ensues into a wet/muddy parking lot. The Z was drifting through the turns and kicking up water & mud, it was so cool.
And at least the producers had enough sense to realize that Douglas' '73 ('74?) Mercury Montego was no match for the Z. The Montego tried to drift though a tight turn and ended up in a storage shed!

The TV show with Karl Malden and Michael Douglas.
It's on every night locally at 9pm. Hawaii 5-0 is on right afterward--my favorite cop show of all time. I try to catch it at least once a week if I can.
