Lightbulb ff drifting

Tell me what you guys think of this video. I loved it and I thought it was quite intriguing. Definition of drifting is driving your tires to the point that they loose traction. Just because it is not rear wheel drive does not mean it can not drift. Now what it can not do is powerslide which is to do it by sutaining the drift with the power of the rear wheels, why because it is front wheel drive duh! Check it out tell me what you think. Wow, that is some amazing control that guy has. The way he managed his energy through the turns and how he used the throttle, brake and e-brake all together... wow.
I was cringing a little though at the thought of the flat-spots he was creating in the tires...

true that, that is a bad thought. You will definatly kill your tires in no time. But he did have some amazing control it was almost uncanny. Thanks for watching the vid no one else seems to have the time or they just dont want to express their opinion on it. All I have to say to every one else is to watch it , you are definately in for a treat. This just opened the doors of the sport of drifting to a lot of people. And this guys setup is not all that elaborate. His car is still street driven. Well I mean the one that is over here in the states that is . Their is actually two cars that was the one in Japan. There is also one in Irvine Cali.

I can't find a video that i had of a famous japanease drifter in his AE86 it was rediculous how good he was.

this video is not bad but there is MUCH better out there if someone could tell me how i ould host a few video's i'll show them to you.

P.S. if you aer really interested in drifting i suggest looking up "initial D" it's an anime allll about drifting and the AE86.

Haha, that was sweet. I used to have a 2001 celica gt-s and the weight balance on it was like 70/30 or somethig, so if you pulled the ebrake the *** would WHIP like nothing, haah. I have videos of me "drifting" a lot, but they're on my other computer at home. I went thru the first set of tires in 16,000 miles

The point was that the guy was drifting like a pro in a FF vehicle, which, of course, isn't nearly the same as the RWD drift machines you're comparing it to.

Thank you for keeping putting things back in perspective. I was talking about the skill of drifting a ff car. But I do know what you mean those initial d videos are where its at. Those guys are the kings of drift. Hey my friend had a 2001 gt and some mods like full exhaust and stuff, custom of course. But we used to have so much fun in that thing, it was fast as hell and the back end did used to come around like crazy he used to love drifting it. I really miss that car, he sold it. And there was a guy running around town with a gts and he was famous for how fast his was, the word was the cops could never catch him. The cops knew him by nickname, "Quicksilver" because his car was silver and he was quick.

that is true they are normally not any good unless you put the 4mge engine in it and put the turbo in it. I think it is the engine from the mkII supra.

Actually, it's not all about power for drifting. The reason the AE86 is used so much for drifiting is because of it's weight distribution being almsot perfectly balanced (50/50).

and because it weighed 2300 lbs and was RWD.

less weight = eaiser loss of traction

It's about road racing, not just drifting and not just the AE86.

Another GREAT drift car- the Nissan Fairlady Z, AKA Datsun 240Z !!!!
