oh i know my fair share about the new se-r.... its gone to ****, i dont even believe it should have the se-r name on it, and spec v??? wtf? sweet twisting the V Spec name off the skyline around nissan usa.
but the new se-r would be a good daily driver, its pretty decent, has gobs of torque and is a comfortable car. but i dont think ill be buying one anytime soon, let alone any car yet.....

exactly.... well the spec v has a pathetic engine, thats probably why
now if nissan were smart they would have brought over their next generation sr20: the SR20VE 210hp N/A with NEOVVL not the vvt crap that the qr25 has.... now thatd be a good engine. there are some guys with that in classic se-rs, and damn they are fast.
or the other option could have been to put the SR20DE-T in there, but noooo they had to go with a brand new, untested engine that isnt nearly as strong as the previous generation.
but hey, thats my ranting

TheMan - I'm guessing your perfect car is two seats, body, a transmission, an engine, and some controls to push it around. And thats great for track use. But I actually have some understanding of comfort and convenience and desire these things for my daily driver. Especially since Mazda can't seem to even get the simple **** to work. I almost got hit because that clutch stuttered at a very bad moment. Some quality.

i hear ya there, sad thing is i guess that sounds like my perfect car too... atleast not my daily driver though.... thats why that Dodge Razor concept sounds so tasty to me
but in all reality a perfect all around performer, with gobs of nice power, awesome handling, awesome traction, good looks, and great drivability (from the drivers aspect, and performance aspect) is what i want.... the Spec V almost has it, the MSP basically has it (diffrent seats are in need, AWD would be nice too), the WRX is nearly exactly me.... but i havent driven one, so i cant say. and hav
wouldnt it be so much easier if we could make our own cars from the ground up..lol

Okay, I didn't bother reading every post here, but come on, use the LOGIC PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!
Protege is in a DIFFERENT CLASS then those cars you guys mentioned........
It's like me saying
Yeah guys, my Protege feels a bit slow, I think that I should get a McLaren, you know, it's a bit faster, and I like the fact that it's got better brakes as well. Oh and I like the sound system that it has. What do you guys think, is it a better car then a Protege???
Common sense people, and logic.......
A 40,000$ car will always be better then a 20,000$ one.......
