hmm Jet Vs. Car comparisons are dumb

Jets can do ~Mach 2.5 (3086KPH) and corner at 8+ G's. the F16 in this case also has a 20mm M61A1 Vulcan cannon that can tear apart any road vehicle.

what car have you seen that carries Maverick/AMRAAM/Sidewinder/Sparow/etc. missles and has the ability to deploy chaff and flare countermeasures?

IMO its kinda stupid to even bother compareing cars like the vette and viper, but i guess if your a billionaire and have nothing better to do then.. meh

I have a feeling that either the pilot's codename was "Viper" or maybe they nicknamed that particular plane, but I know it was an F-16.

i didnt see it, but the F22 is the raptor, and the nickname for the F16 is the viper,though its officiall a falcon

the specific name viper applies to F-16's on antiradar missions, they took over the job from the old F4 Wild weasals

More than anything, Ripley's Believe It Or Not is dumber. I used to like the museum, but ever since this show aired on TV, it's been nothing but stupid publicity stunts that are not even making any groundbreaking records!!

And you're right, you can't compare a jet with a car. What will they think up next - a viper vs. the space shuttle
