Anybody have a Squeezebox, or other music streamer?
I've been making it a point to tell as many people as possible about how much I love my Squeezebox, it has totally revolutionized the way I listen to music. Right now I have close to 1000 albums and over 10000 songs, almost all ripped from the original cd's into .flac format (lossless, super high quality).
I love just telling it "Random All" and seeing what pops up. I hear stuff I haven't listened to in decades, and think 'I used to love that song", or 'man that really sucks'. But it's a blast, I have the TrackStat and Dynamic Playlist plug-ins installed, which lets me rate tracks and albums as I go ... and over time I build up and incredible database of music and ratings, makes putting together a good party mix a breeze!
And the best thing is, when ripped the right way using Exact Audio Copy, the sound quality easily beats my modded high-end Adcom GCD-700 cd-player.
So let's hear it, what's your music streamer and library lookin like?

Of course it works with a Mac and iTunes, check it out here

There's a ton of great info in their wiki and forums ... and it's on sale now till Memorial Day
I hope you're not ripping as mp3's? Nothing has killed appreciation for a great sounding system more than the mp3 ... oh, that and typically compressed recordings these days.

I have an Airport Express.. but ALL of my music is encoded with FLAC (yes, I've consequently had to invest in extra hard drives) so I can't stream it to it. It'll stream Apple Lossless, but I have yet to make a script to re-encode on the fly. Plus it only officially works with itunes, and all of my computers run Arch Linux. I just have one dell latitude whose sole purpose is to run windows xp for emergency situations :P
Matty -- rip in the Apple Lossless format
