All I can say is WOW!!
I didn't think it'll happen to me, but someone broke into my car for the first time. I'm not really pissed because there was nothing there to take, but I am worried now. I'm glad I sold my dvd, screen and stuff before this happened.
If those asswhipes would have taken the time to look through my car, they could have easily found the key to my rims. Maybe they changed there mind about taking it.
Well they left me with a dead battery, because they didn't close the door all the way. URRRGGGGHHHH!!!

Did this happen at home, work, school, etc....
Do you have an aftermarket alarm or oem alarm?
I know how you feel though...I worked in a local mall during the summertime for some college money and someone smashed my passenger side window and did nothing else.
People like this should be shot...you never mess with someone elses property.

It was at school on my campus. I do have an aftermarket alarm, but I turned the sensitivity down some because it started to get annoying.
They might have ran off, because my friend, who parks his car at the same light, called and told me that my interior lights were on. I didn't believe him at first because half the time he's either high or drunk...lol, but I finally decided to check on it like an hour 1/2 later.
After I saw that, I had my friend give me a jump start and I'm temporarily leaving my car parked in front of my dorm. Even though I have to dish out change for the parking meter, I feel better knowing I can see it out my window.

Do you know of anyone else that frequents this board in your dorm? I have noticed that some individuals on the forum who list out their system in the sig. seem to get broken into....
Maybe it is time for everyone to reconsider not to itemize their stereo or mods in their sig.
Just my opinion though....

man that sucks. a LOT of car get stolen/broken into at UMD. I hope you reported it to the police. My g/f had her side mirror broken off of her accord = $400 and someone kicked my rear quarter panel/ gas door at UMD too. At school you've got to worry about the thieves and the drunk ********.

my friend has his truck vandalized, somebody stole his center caps off of his rims! How stupid, c'mon if you are going to steal, steal something worth something!
My brothers car was keyed less than a month after that happened and they both occured on campus at the university parking deck.
You may want to ask the college if they have cameras near where you parked you car, if so see if they can look at the tapes. Good luck to you, it sucks I know my car was stolen, wreaked and totaled all in one week, two weeks before my first year in college...what memories!

Even though UMD is a really good school with a beautiful campus, it's surrounded by bad areas. So, the ppl from the surrounding areas see the rich kids and their cars, and have a ball.
My friend just told me yesterday that his Accord was stolen and stripped
. He had a full body kit, CF hood, projector headlights, rims, sound system, and a few other things. It sucks too. He put all that work into his car and some a$$hole ripped him off in one night.
The only good thing is that his insurance agreed to pay for the car.
The only real problem we have here is cars being broken into and some stolen. I think I'm going to leave my car home for the rest of the semester.
