mp3angel- girls should not give advise to men. sorry. not because i don't think you can handle our workouts, but quite the opposite. girls have incredible endurance! most guys can't keep up with women when it comes to working out. sure we may lift more, but cardio and looking/keeping fit? women have the edge. SO, since you are so far ahead in this, girls should not give men advise (we don't wanna look bad...)

any guy who disagrees with me, please feel free to join an aerobics class (which is dominated by women) or tae-bo, or even jog next to a woman on a treadmill. lol, i feel so stupid when i come out huffing and puffing and my gf and her friend are teasing me, "honey, can't handle? i guess we're not having that 3-way tonight..."

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

...oops, sorry, lost myself in the moment there.

Eat the lean cuts of meat, tuna, and most importantly CHICKEN! Very rarely has a day gone by that I haven't had some form of chicken. It's high in protein and no fat. Try to stay away from too much pasta and anything fried...exspecially late at night. Get some protein powder or some protein bars for snanks and try to eat at least 5 meals a day every couple hours. Keep them small (good source of protien and small carb and fat) and drink lots of water. Water actually helps activate fat burning in your body. With this setup you're metabolism will be in overdrive and you'll be hungry every couple hours..."feed the machine". If you want to take supplements stay away from Hydroxycut and Stacker fat burners...they could cause underlining conditions to become serious....unless you've been checked out recently. If you take creatine take only 2 tablespoons a day... 1 before workout and one after. Screw that stacking they try to get you to do...thats so you'll use more and have to buy more. Studies show that after 2 tablespoons you're body just excretes it. Or you could always go to Mexico....know what I mean?

I get ya, I get ya ToBeBacDoc.... thanks for all the advice. I'll print this thread out when I go shopping for groceries hehe

1Hawaiian, no 3somes for you? hehe, and I know that girls are more durable. There's this one psycho girl that's got abs that are just pow! out there.... she runs for about five minutes, and then I get the treadmill besides her, and damn, she outruns me in the end.....

Sorry didn't know girls couldn't offer exercise opinions... wasn't trying to give advice, just throwing it out there.

oh it's not that us men don't want your help, but women have so much endurance and will power that anything you'd suggest, most men would fail horribly at. then we would eat lots of candy, fatty meats, watch sports on the couch...
ooh wait, we're already doing that.
nah, i'll bet you can handle all the aerobics classes, step-masters, treadmills, bike...and that's your warm-up! guys are like...huh? cardio? what's that? let's lift.
i'm just saying if women give workout advise, it should be realistic for men (walk1/8 mile, jog 1/8 mile, then give verbal praise) ha ha, why is it that women have so much endurance?

bo, my gf teases me with that, but i don't think it'll happen. dammit. it would be easier to take if her friend was fat and ugly, but she isn't. so thinking i may never get that opportunity that most men dream about makes me sick! ...thus i work out harder in hopes of persuading them later down the road.

just stick to a good diet and steady workout. chicken. high in protein. and red meat is natures creatine. stay away from starch and carbs (unless you wanna gain). BUT most importantly in any diet, you need a cheat day. i have two (weekend).

mp3angel- actually, you women could tease us, and egg us on so that we work harder. you could say stuff like, what? only 1 mile? i just ran 5. but...you do what you can, okay? and i guarantee most guys would not stop even if it kills them cause we don't wanna be outdone by a girl...which is inevitable, but we still need to try...

LoL I know what you're saying, thanks for the praise for our endurance (I wish mine WAS that good!~ I'd be at the gym everyday!)
Unfortunately tonight though I found out I'm going to have to toss my whole routine out the window... grrrrr...... I'm now going to be working Mon- Sat 11:30 to 3, and then come back in and work from 6-10:30
I guess these people think I'm superwoman or something... I'm going to go read a book or something and calm down lol

Well, my many years of 12 oz curls have contributed to the wonderful shape I am in. I get compliments all the time.

I am in shape all right! A circular one!

Wassup, I've been working out for a couple of months now in a row after stopping for three years hehe. 4 times a week, sometimes 5 these days.....
Never had a set schedule of stuff to do though. How do those work? Should I only work out one part/day like some people do? How often should I do cardio.
Any tips would be good

only work-out smiley faces I could find, excluding the monkey at the end hehe
when I was going to the gym , I used to work with some weightlifters who told me ,,
you can't do two muscle groups on the same day ,, like don't do your legs and your back on the same day ,,
do like legs and bisceps on monday
then back and triceps on tuesday
then don't go to the gym on wed
go on thurs and do chest and shoulders.
you can go on friday and do cardio , wich is like treadmil, bike and crap like that
then on another day you can do stomache ,,
that is something similar to what I used to follow but I quit the gym , cause it was running to much dough and hogging the protege modding money
lol
Bruce
p.s. stay away from creatine and anything like it

Ohh hell no ,, your are crazy ,, I love when women give me advice, why cause I know they are being honest with me , especially when they are my friends , not intimate or anything ,..... So what if they are better at cardio ,, good let them be, shoot , I don't mind ,,, she can give me advice anyday ,, just pm it to me hahahhaha......
most women are very good with workout routines , they tend to follow them more rigidly than men , and if you ask them for a routine advice , 9 times out of 10 a women that works out would be able to figure something out for ya ,, they are like physical accountants, hahaha, I like that one ... but you get the idea ,, don't knock em bro love em

physical accountants- good one!
nah, i wasn't knocking them, and i welcome advise, BUT, a lot of times when i do workout with girls, my pride gets in the way and i will kill myself in an attempt to keep up and not look like i'm dying. lol i have so much respect for women ever since i tried my first areobics class.

it was just my off the wall humorous way of saying we can't keep up so their advise would only lead us to fail horribly, even tho they mean well.

and for all you guys who can keep up, don't get your panties in a bunch. i'm just stating the obvious in general.

haha, if that's one of those things that you attach to yourself and sit down, doesn't work.

My friend tried one of those, and now he's got a big flab on his sides, it seems as if it just moved the fat around hehe
