Yes they are VERY ugly, I saw a new Civic Si (hatch) and I thought it was a Focus ZX3, then when I saw it from the behind it looked just like one! Honda's new styling disgusts me.

Talking BUMP!

hehe, time to wake up this old thread, because the official photos of the '03 Accord has been released!

these are from thecarconnection.com:

my opinion? Styling-wise Mazda 6 has it beat by a mile, but I do worry about that 240hp v6 under the hood...

The interior is pretty nice, and so is the coupe! That is about it!

Honda's styling has become way to bubbly and they have taking out all of the aggresive stylin techniques that made the old one so popular, they ahve become cars for people who don't really care about cars, Mazda stylin kills all Honda stylin

And yes the new SI is the ugliest thing i have seen and looks way too much like a Focus

Strange huh?, SI = Focus, Accord = Cougar, maybe Honda and FOrd have a little friendship. that is ok however cause in my opinion they both suck

Talking but wait, there's more!

Edmunds just posted their preview of the new Accord.

http://www.edmunds.com/reviews/roadt...3/article.html

Among things that I noticed in the article:

1. the title of the article:
"Wherein 'Sporty Accord' Proves to be an Oxymoron"
ouch!

2. regarding the exterior appearance:
"Our take? The front and rear styling of the sedan is not a success. The front is too plain, appearing more downmarket than a Honda Civic, which has a proper grille with chrome detailing."

"Want to see a beautiful mainstream Japanese sedan? Look at the 2003 Mazda 6."
YES!

3. on power:
"In contrast to the Nissan, the Honda upshifts and downshifts more fluidly and with less kick, but when the Accord's engine is revved, it fails to delight with any eagerness or urgency to rush to speed the way the Altima's V6 does. The Altima is a thrill ride when the go-pedal is mashed; the Accord is not."
so same HP rating, the the Nissan gas pedal is more fun to step on

4. on handling ability:
"When punished on twisty mountain roads near Los Angeles, the EX V6 sedan exhibited sloppy handling compared with vehicles like the Altima 3.5 SE, the Mazda 6, the Volkswagen Passat and even the Toyota Camry SE."
ouch! worse than a CAMRY???? LOL!

overall a solid car, but nowhere near the 'sports sedan' moniker Honda is trying to put on these cars. That title belongs to the Mazda 6!!!

this is not the car I thought Honda Was going to make. This thing is alittle on the cheap side for looks. the inside is nice but the front looks like it came off a Chevy Cavalier.
