New owner here. Just picked-up our '06 Sport last night. A transfer after being a long-time Honda Odyssey ('01) owner. Tranny problems and gas mileage brought us to the 5. So far we're loving it ! Hope to learn a lot over here at the forums.

 

Welcome. Looks like the ranks of 5 owners is finally growing.

 

I couldn't help but notice that you don't have the spoiler or the side sill extenders. I thought our 5 was the only one out there without them.

Our 5 came with zero options, something that seems to be a rarity...every other Sport we looked at had the Popular package at a minimum. We weren't exactly trying to avoid the spoiler or side sill extenders, but personally I think the 5 looks better without them.

Status-Yeah, it didn't/doesn't come with the side sills nor spoiler although I wanted the spoiler.
Still have to get some OEM acc. like the bumper step guard and the soft cargo mat.

 

I also have purchased my first Mazda. It is a 3s. I picked it up Thursday and I love it. Got rid of my 2000 Grand Caravan.

 

None of the 5's in our area had the spoiler or side sills (all Sports), all were auto, all had the sunroof. So we only had color to choose, and we went red.

You can purchase the spoiler seperately through the dealer or at www.srmotorsports.com or even ebay every now and then.
