how is it possible that a 2.3 only tops out at 110 i got my 2.0 to 120

and you'll know when you hit it...
cuz if i can remember correctly, the car just kinda roughly stop accelerating at 188km/h....
and i think the revs drop down to....

no. there are no tuners on the market that will remove the speed limiter....unless you went with a full standalone like the AEM or Haltech E6X or MegaSquirt2

ms3's are limited to 155. ive only gotten to just above 140 on the track. needs mods imo to go all the way.

I have a stock 2007 3i 2.0 and no governer on it. I backed out at 143mph with pedal left..... long straight road I do have pics as well, my navi tracked me at 140 something top speed, and its usually within a couple miles an hour.

ah, so you were one of the lucky ones eh?
ive only been to the top speed once, and other than that, the fastest ive gone recently is, oh, 140km/h on the highway.....

My 2.3 went 118 and once it hit that speed I believe a rev limiter dropped me to 90. It was strange. I had a Kia Spectra that would top out at 127 and I think that was really the limit of the engine and not a limiter LOL. I only did it once on my 3, so i could beat a civic. Too dangerous for my taste, and i didn't know about the limiter at the time.

2007 mazda 3i this is max speed i hit it 3 times coming back from tennessee the other day this is my cars max....i wish 140..but not happening the comp. has the limiter there is no way it came stock without one its part of a circut if that didnt work lots of other things would not work as well not just that one thing....

btw how could you tell 143....the speedo stops at 140?????
