What's Your Best Trip Comp Miles Remaining?
Hey guys,
I was curious how many miles anyone has gone past 0 when their trip comp has read 0 miles remaining. I'm a trifle neurotic about my tank and have only taken mine down to 0 miles once which it hit while i was pulling into the station(oddly enough on the first tank). I have a 2007 2.3s GT.
My bro drives his cars around all the time for what seems like an eternity with the light on (similar to Kramer in the Dealership ep of Seinfeld, Kramer and that other guy, oh, they went further to the left of the slash than anyone ever dreamed!) and it drives me nuts; I get the compulsive urge to pull into the next station i see once my light comes on.
Also, does anyone know on average how many gallons are remaining once the trip comp hits 0? I know they jack the numbers to help avoid you running out of gas but don't know by how much. Obviously this could help you calculate your actual miles remaining better.
Thanks!
