Talking smog check

So my pre catalytic converter is clogged so badly it has effected my rear c-converter so much that i have to replace both. I decided however that Im going togo with just a straight pipe and replace my rear c-converter only, but If I take my pre catalytic converter off and go with a straight pipe to my rear c-converter will my car still pass smog???? My mazda 3 has 104K miles. Help!!!

Even if it passes the sniffer, chances are the guy will fail you over the visual once he sees the mid pipe.
Where in California are you located? Bay Area perhaps? If so, I may have an option for ya.

If all else fails and if you don't mind driving to Santa Cruz, I have a 'friend in the business'. I'll bet he can help you out.
