Mazda 3i /Manual upshift rev SOLUTION!
Ok- get this, I decided this rev thing with my manual transmission was a problem, to say nothing of wear problems down the road, so I brought it to my friendly Mazda dealer.
The service manager went with me and I illustrated the automatic jump of 1000-1500 rpm when you push in the clutch.
It turns out, there was a software recall that involved one of the THREE oxygen sensors in the car. Basically, they gave my 3 a software upgrade hahahah!.
And can you guess, it fixed the problem. I'm a very happy 3 owner who has a perfectly operating car now. I'm thinking the mileage will improve too.
Just wanted to let everybody know this thing was a SOFTWARE glitch in the end.
