What little parasitic load on the engine does not cause any difference in my mpg. However, people say I drive like a granny.

Exactly the stock paper air filter is a"parasitic load" or resistance compared to a high flow filter. The air conditioning is reducing HP also reducing MPG acting as resistance or "parasitic load".

Reducing resistance on the intake is making more HP because the engine is working easer to get the same amount of air. The engine has better MPG aswell, might be minamal, But just like the shutting of the air conditioning the high flow air filter gives more power and better gas milage. Pretty simple, you said it yourself.

Haha ok.

Lots of great books out there written by professionals with experience but go a head continue listening to kids on fourms, you know the ones with fart cans on their cool cars.
