Help with intake installation.....

Help with intake installation.....

There is a wire connecting to the air cleaner.... and I wish to install a velocity cone.. I would like to know if this wire is importnant and needs to say connected... PLease let me know if someone has run into the same concerns....

it's probably just the IAT sensor. I just let it dangle in the engine bay. If it's the MAF you MUST have that built into the intake or else the car won't run right.

Mazda 3 has the IAT built into the MAF...same MAF as 1.6L Protege....There will be a spot on the intake to screw down the MAF...If there is not you have the wrong intake for your car....

ah... banging.. so I now i need like a pipe adapter....or maybe just completely new set-up?

It is probably the PCV hose... Does it connect to the valve cover in some way?
