Exhaust Mani 02 Sim

This is probably a question for kargoboy or our friend on the island but for those with 3s (not speeds) that have installed an exhaust manifold, what 02 sim are you using to get the CEL off. The reason it turns on is because there is a cat attached to the stock exhaust manifold and when we buy the aftermarket headers the cat is eliminated. And for those wondering, the CEL is not only annoying in itself but sets the computer to a default mode thus eliminating horsepower gains and my car does not need to be any slower...so what is everyone using to turn the light off?

peteyd is an unknown quantity at this point
You can try buying an O2 extender and using that drilling a hole in it to allow more air to come thru and should clear the CEL. Its what we used on the tCs to get rid of the CELs for our turbo kits and headers. Don't see why it wouldnt work here as well.

Heh, just saw this...the short answer is that nothing really seems to work without fail. The PZEV models are very persistent. Thunder's built-in eliminator doesn't work
(basically a version of above), the non-fouler doesn't work, even the electrical fix doesn't work with any consistency.
Thunder is determined to figure it out and make it a part of their exhaust mani. If they solve it, I will sell a lot of them!

Thunder would really be ahead of the game if they could figure it out. I was thinking about piggy-backing a greddy onto my stock ECU to get rid of the speed govenor...could I program the ECU not to read from that 02 sensor (maybe this should be a new post)?

i just cut my O2 wires, and extended them with 20 gauge wires.
i still have to have it installed tho.

i tihnk it took me 15 minutes to get a CEL with no O2 sensor.

that reminds me, besides a CEL, wat happens when you drive around with no o2 sensor?
