belts?

belts?

my 3 popped a belt the other day and i rolled it into the dealer. the belt on the side of the engine was off/snapped(couldnt tell). later the dealer called and said that both belts need replacing.....huh? i thought this car had a universal belt. she said the tension belt broke and knocked the other one off.......this sounds like crazy talk to me....any answers?

3 belts.....

simple? they stated that there are 3 belts.... one for the AC, one for PS, and one for the drive.....

What year? my 2007 2.3L has two, a stretchy one and a serpintine. The power steering is electric now, maybe you talked with a guy that is used to older cars or something.
