Went to the dealer...I want my Mazda3!
The day started off going to my uncles car dealership to have my sister's car looked at, then we went look around the car lot. He doesn't sell Mazda, so I want look at the Lancer Ralliart. It was a nice car, but I kept comparing it to the M3. How it doesn't have the sportronic transmission, or the interior isn't nearly as nice, and mainly how it was $2,000 more than a comparable M3. My sister loved it.
Later in the day, we went to the Mazda dealership, and I immediately found one with everything I wanted--2004 titanium gray s with auto, moonroof, sport, and rear lip spoiler. I thought I didn't like the red seats because it looked more red in pictures, but it was great in person. I sat in the driver's seat and started it up. I immediately knew it was the car for me. It was great. The sales guy proceeded to take us for a spin, since I am not old enough to drive it(just one more month) and my sister didn't want to drive it . It is amazing how quick the car is. I want that car . I am definately considering going there today and washing it . What a great car. It feels like a $25,000 car! Too bad it's so expensive .

Mazda 3's are expensive?? I dunno, maybe it's subjectively expensive but we got a fully loaded 3S hatch (no nav) for $17K+ttl. There is NO other car for under $25K that has the quality and features of this car for $17K.
p.s. I used to be a mitsubishi mechanic....do NOT buy one. Trust me. The Evo8 is the only Mitsu worth having.

I agree that it is one awesome car for the price; it's an awesome value, but the problem is compared to the car my dad got my sister, it's double the price . HAHA Did I mention my sister no longer wants a Celica but now a Mazda 3 after our dealer visit?

Well toyota's are chick cars by design! I know what you mean about not getting the same pricing as on a mitsubishi.....thats a tough call for you.
as far as build quality, performance, style, features....the mazda is going to win but if cost is THAT big of a factor it may lose.

What is even more amazing is that the cheaper lancer ralliart was about $2000 more than the Mazda 3 comparably equipped. Granted, the Mazda doesn't have the Infinity sound system (300 watts??) that I would never use anyway. I never though Mitsubishi cars were good anyway, but they do have a good warranty. I definately don't want one of those.
