Is my dealer f'ing me?

I order a P5 in April for a real good price. last time I called I was told it would be here the 1st week of july. Well I called them today and now they say the don't even have a build date yet. A friendtold me that someone wanted my car and sold it for a better price.

The dealer then told me 30-40 days from now cause they don't even have a build date.

I am really getting tired of them. I will call Mazda tomorrow.

A p5? A dealer should have them in stock as they sell like hotcakes. That kind of wait is a little too long.

Just exactly what did you order? I can't believe that there isn't one out there EXACTLY like you want....I think that dealer is jerkin you around.....go else where.....and I wouldn't tell them a thing....just go to another dealer and get a car else where....then once you do...go back to that dealer....go to the specific sales person and let them know that you didn't appreciate getting jerked around and that you took your business elsewhere....and then I would let the OWNER of that dealership know the EXACT same thing....even if I had to make an appointment to talk with them.

TAKE NO PRISONERS.....HAVE NO MERCY!!!!!!

I had ordered the abs package

and the moonroof package and leather. He said leather was the option that was hard to find. Of course now I am in for a fight cause I did put a deposit on it. I have a feeling it is going to be hard to get that back.

My original salesman doesn't work there anymore either so that will make it even harder. I have a feeling cause the salesman gave me such a low price and he is not there anymore they are trying to get out of it. the price is 15500 for a p5 with those 3 options. The only reason I went to them was because they sent me an email with that price. They are not close to me at all.

He did say he can find one without the leather though. Still thinking if I am going to take that one or not.

you'd be better off finding the car you like at the right price and having your leather done aftermarket (like Katzkin).

i got lucky because they had decked out my ride in Katzkin leather before i purchased it, and i got the leather at 1/2 price because my spouse worked for the dealership. i also have abs and a moonroof!

Well in AZ every f'n mazda lot has at least 15-30 p5's brand new sitting on the lot and they are willing to blow them out the door. The first 2 I test drove were blue and white and both had abs, moonroof AND leather. I ended up going with no leather (for AZ) and no moonroof (which I will do aftermarket later) and got it for below 14,900.

They are F'n you. EVEN if you did put down a deposit that deposit was for delivery on a certain date which they have obviously not met yet. I would tell them to give back the deposit so you can go to another dealer and just buy the car and they should call the other dealer for YOU to get you the same price since they have all had a turn givin it to yah in the *** now.

LIke nuke said, give em hell.

Take the quote from the dealer you are at right now and go to another dealer and see if they will give you the car you are looking for at a comparable price.

Do not mention that the car is not in stock at the other dealer, just say that this dealer is closer to where you live and have heard better things.

It may not work, but just an idea.

Go to mazdausa.com and locate the exact car you want

I had the same problem as you, they gave me bullshit about "that was the last yellow with such and such options in the area, and you missed it" ...how bout a red?

So I took it upon myself to find the car I wanted, and showed them, they pretended like it just came in at that dealership and agreed to "work it out". In that little deal they wanted $500 to literally drive 30 miles to go across state lines and pick it up.

I said F' IT! I'll get it myself!

So I did!

be careful though, if you cross state lines, the rules may be different as far as the tags/licensing. I happened to get a freggin ticket on my way home from the dealership
