sluggish at 2000 rpm's

so i have had much trouble recently with the rough idling and dying when stopped. My cel is back on after the dealer replaced the purge valve (no more rough idling or dying), but when at about 2000 rpm's, the car constantly hesitates and feels sluggish... almost like i hit a tiny puddle and started to hydroplane but regain control that very second. (weird description, sorry). The car feels like it has a little jolt and stutter to it at this speed too.

i have the simota twin charger intake as well.
i went to autozone to get the codes for the cel:
2178 and 2188- something about fuel system too rich. can someone verify these codes and tell me how to fix the problem.
I think it could be the transmission, but i really dont have much of a mind for these things.

Do you drive a manual?

I know for me, usually 1st and second gear 2k rpms or less the car kind of jerks when u step on the gas a good amount, it's just how the transmission works.

i wonder if the MAF is seated properly in the intake tube. This used to be a problem with the older proteges and aftermarket intakes. Haven't heard of it with the simota yet though.

i was wondering that when i installed the intake... it feels like the hole for the maf to be inserted to is a little too small, but the maf still fits snug in there, just not perfect.

I think i am going to put the stock intake back on and see if the problem persists
