Recall Fyi

Dealer sent me a recall on the all weather floormats it said they were to thick and the accelerator pedal could stick full throttle (that would suck).
So they told me to return them and a new set would be sent to me.

When did you get the mats? A couple weeks after the MS3 went on sale all dealerships were instructed not to allow an MS3-owner to buy those mats.

If you don't feel like dealing with missing them, you can just cut out the area under the accelerator pedal. They hook onto the floor and don't move around, right?

No they dont hook to the floor. And they already have the gas pedal cutout . I'm talking about the optional all weather mats, there about 1in thick rubber and lay overtop the carpeted mats.

Technically, no they don't lay over the carpeted mats.. you shouldn't ever have two sets of floormats installed, that's probably half the problem. They really don't even have the little hole for the hook? My aftermarket rubber floor mats (I can't think of the brand offhand but if you want I can go look out in the garage) are overall pretty thin (made of a nice, very flexible rubber though.. they weren't cheap) but do have a tall edge all around to trap water. They even have the hole to hook on for safety
