My 2005 3 hatchback with 2400 miles has a loud whine from the power steering pump that the dealer tells me is normal and nothing to worry about. They say they just replaced a failed pump with a new one that makes the very same noise as mine. Anyone else had problems with the pump? Any suggestions on how to tune the whine down a notch? (The dealer won't replace it now but promises to do so if it fails). Thanks for your suggestions.

 

Find another dealer...cant hear mine at all!!
