6.7's are pretty good for a car when a lot of civics are running 9 or 10s. but then again his mustang has a turbo. my bf ran a 8.63 in the 1/8

You outta see this video I have of what a local 560rwhp RX-7 did to a 500rwhp Lightning on the street. The RX-7 win wasn't measured in cars, it was more like football fields - that 7 pulled on the Lightning like most cars do on a stop sign!

6.7 1/8 not bad @ all, my brother-in-law's old camaro runs 6.36 1/8 - he runs @ commerce, ga and ware shoals, sc - not sure what he runs in the quarter @ commerce (i know they switch back and forth from 1/4 1/8)

its called power to weight ratio. Its lighter and has more power...so there is no way that it would lose. The Lightning has the aerodynamics of a cinder block and weighs like 4,600 lbs.

I get that It was just impressive to see how hard it pulled on the Lightning, which was fast in it's own right.

I remember my first time, mid-90's I got a ride in a built Viper with a big *** shot of NOS. The guy said he'd ran high 9's with the car. I almost wet myself, then immediately thought "I gotta have something like this!"
Here's the video btw

And the rx7club.com thread to go along with it

I didn't get butthurt or anything. But I was just pointing out the power to weight ratio...lighter car w/ more power of course is gonna destroy a heavy truck. I've got a lot of frieds here in louisville that own rx-7s.
