Well, not quite. But hopefully soon. My RX8 is for sale right now. As soon as its sold I am seriously considering a Mazdaspeed 3. Went for a test drive the other day and I was blown away. The torque is definately something I'm not used to. The handling is surprisingly comparable to the 8. The interior is great and I'm stoked that I'll be able to directly hook my Sirius and IPOD into the AUX jack.

The 8 has been great. So reliable, super fun to drive. But I am just getting out of college and moving into my own place. Getting married, have a new dog. I need something with a little more room and a little better gas mileage. Plus, the RX8 is such a great track car, but I don't have the money to take it to the track. I almost feel like I'm wasting a performance machine. As a daily driver, I think the MS3 will be just as much fun as the 8. Itll be nice to wipe some smiles off of some 350Z drivers too. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself. The local dealer has MS3 Grand Touring's for a $24K sticker price. Not a big markup but I'd like to see if I can sweet talk my way to $22K. I should easily be able to get $15K or so out of the 8, so financing $7K for a new MS3 should be a pretty simple thing. Plus I really think these Speed 3's will hold their value very nicely.

Thanks everyone! There is a guy test driving my 8 tomorrow! I keeping my fingers crossed because my local dealer is willing to get me whatever color Speed 3 GT I want from one of their parter dealers and sell it to me for invoice. Also they are waiving the driver fee that usually comes with getting a car from another dealer. I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight. Visions of a Sunlight Silver MS3 are going to be floating through my head.

Why are you getting rid of the 8?

 

I am envious of your situation. I really wanted to get a ms3. I have a '06 mazda 3 s. Maybe, if I get the new job I am waiting to hear back from ... I will be able to upgrade someday. Or I could just turbo charge my current car ... hmmm decisions he he.
